Description

Martinelli Plumbing & Heating is hiring an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator / Sales Coordinator to produce accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and residential plumbing projects. This role is a key part of our growth and works closely with leadership, project managers, vendors and contractors to build strong bids and win the right work.

For the right person, this position has a clear path into a Commercial Sales Manager role.

Responsibilities
  • Review blueprints, specifications and project documents to create detailed estimates
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and price labor, material, equipment and subcontracted work
  • Solicit, compare and level supplier and subcontractor pricing
  • Build and submit complete bid packages and proposals that are clear, professional and on time
  • Coordinate site walks, pre-bid questions (RFIs) and vendor/GC communication as needed
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents and supporting backup
  • Track completed projects versus estimated costs to improve accuracy and process
  • Partner with leadership and project managers on scope clarity, pricing strategy and bid decisions
  • Ensure estimates align with applicable codes, standards and company policies
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of plumbing estimating experience (commercial and/or residential)
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials and installation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and technical documents
  • Proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple bids at once
  • Strong communication skills with vendors, contractors and internal teams
  • Field background (journeyman, foreman, lead technician, etc.) strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
